MEET GARETH FOWLER

British Guitarist, Gareth Fowler, graduated from the Manhattan School of Music in 2018 where he studied privately with Rodney Jones and John Riley. Gareth has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The 55 Bar, Bar Next Door, and stages throughout the UK, Europe, South Africa, Malaysia, Mexico and Hawaii.

 

Some artists Gareth has performed with include, Pablo Held, Naima Acuna, Chris Potter, Julian Arguelles, Troy Miller, Percy Purseglove, Alec Harper, Georgia Cecile, Laura Jurd, Steven Fiefke Bigband, JK Kim and Perico Sambeat. He also performed on an award nominated set of works by UK Jazz saxophonist, Mike Williams.

 

Gareth was a recipient of the Countess of Munster Trust Recital Scheme, the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Award and the BBC Young Musician Bursary Award.

 

Gareth has taught/given masterclasses at the Distant Learning Center - Manhattan School of Music, Purcell school of Music, Lick Library UK, Larchmont Music Academy NYC, Services for Education UK.

MEET NIGEL PRICE

Over a career spanning more than 25 years, award winning jazz guitarist Nigel Price is one of the most highly regarded and in demand guitarists on the UK jazz scene today. He spent three years with UK funk legends - the James Taylor Quartet, was voted No.1 in the 2016 British Jazz Awards for ‘best guitarist’ and is also a regular performer at Ronnie Scott’s, where he’s played around 600 times to date. His blend of flowing bebop lines and deep blues feeling has made him popular with jazz, blues and funk audiences across the World.

 

Nigel has toured extensively with his multiple award winning band, the Nigel Price Organ Trio, recorded widely - notably with Van Morrison, several Acid Jazz outfits, as well as ten releases with his own group. He is a leading advocate for UK jazz through his touring initiatives, and with his work through his charity ‘Grassroots Jazz’.

 

He is considered one of the top jazz guitarists in the UK and continues to be a major force in the genre.
