MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM FIBONACCI GUITARS - DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

CONGRATULATIONS! A big congratulations to Howard Laws, who won one of our original prototype guitars in the Keeping Jazz Live raffle. We were thrilled to then learn that Howard, kindly offered to donate the guitar, to Tomorrow’s Warriors. A very worthy cause, where I am sure, it will be well utilised. Together with a Session amp, the raffle raised a total of £3,442.43, as part of the Nigel Price Organ Trio, monster 60 date UK tour. If you haven’t yet seen them live, make sure you catch them next time around....you will be glad you did.

TOMORROW’S WARRIORS

If you are not familiar with them, Tomorrow’s Warriors is a pioneering music education/professional development organisation. It works nationally and internationally with some of the most exciting, most diverse new, emerging and established jazz artists in the UK, having a special focus on girls, and those from the African diaspora. Cerys Matthews, BBC Radio 6 Music says, “This a cultural giant, a music making dream team, with generosity at their heart.”

Led by award-winning Founder/Artistic Director, Gary Crosby OBE and Chief Executive, Janine Irons MBE FRSA, Tomorrow’s Warriors create and produce an incredibly varied annual programme. This programme ranges from workshops and showcases for young musicians, to concerts and tours for established professional bands/orchestras. They work in partnership with an extensive network of local, national and international arts organisations, commercial producers, venues, promoters and festivals.

The company is resident at Southbank Centre www.southbankcentre.co.uk London and an Associate Artist at Rich Mix www.richmix.org.uk London, delivering a unique programme, comprising learning and participation, artist development and professional performances. In addition to their core programmes they offer a range of bespoke music education programmes in schools, arts venues and community centres across the UK and internationally. Tomorrow’s Warriors is a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England www.artscouncil.org.uk and they are proud to be a truly multicultural company.
