A little bit of history on this guitar that could quite possibly become a collector’s item in the future. We are developing a new model called The SOHO that has evolved from Nigel Price’s Signature, The Londoner. As part of this process we built this prototype that we are now offering for sale. It has a hand carved maple top, laminated maple back and sides, flame maple binding, and a one-piece maple neck. The ebony fingerboard has a 14” radius and is fitted with 22 Jescar medium/jumbo stainless steel frets. The floating pickguard is ebony as are the vol/tone knobs. It is finished in bister nitrocellulose lacquer in striking contrast to the gold Gotoh SGS510Z 1:18 tuners, gold trapeze style tailpiece, and a profiled ebony bridge base with gold Gotoh Tune-o-matic style saddle. The gold floating pickup is by Jon Dickinson, split series/parallel with push/pull switching on the tone pot. Components are CTS/Bourns pots, Switchcraft output jack and Spraug 0.22 orang drop cap. This is a majestic beauty of a guitar with a 425mm (16.73”) lower bout width, 63mm (2.48”) body depth and 680mm (26.75”) scale length. The neck joint is 14th fret so despite it’s baritone territory scale length, it does not feel overly long. The neck feels slim and a very playable ‘C’ shape with 44.5mm (1.75”) nut width, 59mm (2.32”) end fret width, 21.5mm (0.84”) depth at the first fret and 23.5mm (0.93) at the ninth fret. This SOHO prototype has had some use as part of the development process but plays, looks and feels like a brand new guitar. This is a terrific opportunity for someone to own a piece of history at a fraction of the price of a brand new Fibonacci guitar. You can check out the SOHO prototype in action on Nigel Price’s YouTube video here: https://youtu.be/Tx2BqIcwmBI?is=AqP-Kth8neuIdXPR The SOHO prototype price includes MONO soft case and shipping and comes with our full warranty.
