‘Live at The Globe’ - Lorne Lofsky/Nigel Price Quartet

A message from Nigel...

Hi,

I couldn’t be more proud of this recording. Lorne Lofsky has long been a hero of mine and it really was an honour and a privilege to tour with him last year. We had always planned to record one of the gigs, but this one was a ‘backup recording’. It came at the end of a long run across Scotland and then down into Newcastle. I think I had made the schedule a bit too cruel, so we had played in Scotland the night before, Hexham that afternoon and then Newcastle in the evening. So we were feeling it a bit, but somehow that just seemed banish all worries - instead making us play more from instinct.

It’s not easy releasing music in 2026. There are precious few people and organisations who are going to help you. This will be my 15th self financed release just this once I’m going to ask for to get it across the line. I usually keep my mouth shut (I know that that’s not like me!) and take the hit. I then usually spend the next couple of years or more recalling the thousands of pounds that I’ve sunk into it.

I guess In reality, this is just like a pre-order really? With added bonus of getting hold of some cheaper tickets, plus the opportunity of getting a signed album.
